Founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo, Italy, Alpinestars started life making hiking and ski boots, but quickly began specialising in motocross racing. In the 1990’s the company started manufacturing all types of protective and technical gear ranging from Alpinestars gore-tex and Alpinestars trousers, to full sized Alpinestars leather jackets for avid motorcyclists. Today, they have offices in Los Angeles and Tokyo whilst the original headquarters and research labs remain in North Italy.

Their claim to fame are the Alpinestars boots called the ‘Tech 10’, which have been worn on the feet of some of the world’s best motocross and supercross racers. World champions Nicky Hayden and Casey Stoner are known for wearing Alpinestars gloves and other Alpinestars clothing.
